Season 2008

"1st Year of Mud Grubb Racing Team"

Starting a race team midyear is always hard to do but success came early
with a win in the KT Heavy class. Followed by 9 more trophies for the
remainder of the season.

Looking to the 2009 season there is a lot of confidence within the team
members, nominating for the King of the Dirt series
and Australian Championship make for a very exciting year ahead.

Watch this space as it looks like the team will be expanding in 2009.

Started out by Simon & Shannon getting invited to a "come and try" day at the Adelaide dirt kart club in 2007.

From there the adrenaline and excitement of driving a racing dirt kart took over! Simon purchased his kart from a friend who has been racing for some time, while Shannon got his a few weeks later Lightning Karts.

Knowing each other for some 25 years, Simon and Shannon have participated in many sports together. During their football years, Simon and Shannon were both given "nick names" these being, Grubby (Simon) and Muddies (Shannon). These names have stuck with both of them which is how and why MUD GRUBB RACING was formed.

Simon & Shannon are both looking forward to their children growing up and participating in go karting with them. Simon has 3 boys (Lachlan 5, Jake 4, & Liam 1), Shannon has 2 girls (Keita 2 & Piper 1) who are already mad Mud Grubb supporters. Along with the Mud Grubb Juniors, we have the "Bosses" of the team, Kerry Grubb & Renae Aplin.

Chad Quinn is the latest team member to join Mud Grubb Racing in season 2008.
